Giorgi (Gio) Janiashvili is a multifaceted composer whose practice spans works for soloists, instrumental and vocal ensembles, orchestra, and electronics, alongside film, multimedia, and collaborative projects. His work has been performed and exhibited internationally at venues including the Southbank Centre, Royal Observatory, Laban Theatre, St. Lawrence Jewry, ICA London, Abrons Arts Center, The Tank NYC, Nostitz Palace, The National Gallery Prague, Messe Frankfurt, and Georgian National Museum, with commissions from violist Rivka Golani, Prague Quadrennial, Surrogate Cities Exploded!, Impossible Brilliance, Polish Insitute, etc. His work has been published by PWN, Warsaw, and featured on WNYC's New Sounds, Getty Images, in the Hulton Archive, and in publications by The New York Times, L'Harmattan, among other outlets. Born in Tbilisi (GE), and a permanent U.S. resident living in New York City, he is a graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London (BMus, MMus)
