Do you accept walk ins?

Yes! BUT, walk ins are first come first serve and we don't always have availability. We recommend calling the shop to check if we have time or book an appointment instead (see below for booking instructions).

How can I book an appointment?

Fill out our online booking form or come see us in the shop! Come ready with a reference of the design you are wanting. We also require a deposit to lock in your appointment. WE DON'T MAKE APPOINTMENTS OVER THE PHONE.

Question 3

How much will my tattoo be?

Accepted Answer

Our shop minimum is $100, and our hourly rate is $150-$200. Depending on the design, artists will price either by the piece or by the hour. Stop in the shop or fill out our online booking form for a more accurate quote.

Question 4

How old do I have to be to get tattooed?

Accepted Answer

In the state of South Carolina you must be 18 years or older to get tattooed. WE CANNOT TATTOO MINORS EVEN WITH A PARENT OR GUARDIAN'S PERSMISSION/CONSENT.

Question 5

Can you cover or rework an existing tattoo?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Our artists will want to see the tattoo in person, so we will need to book a consultation for you first. Consultations are free and can be booked over the phone, by email, or in person.

Question 6

My tattoo needs a touch up.

Accepted Answer

Touch ups are free up to a year after getting your original tattoo. You can book a touch up with us over the phone, by email, or in person.

Question 7

Can I get my face or neck tattooed?

Accepted Answer

No! In the state of South Carolina it is not legal to tattoo the neck, face, or head.

Question 8

Can I get my fingers tattooed?

Accepted Answer

No! Elite Ink doesn't tattoo fingers, sides of the hands, or sides of the feet due to the friction in those areas often causing tattooed to fade very quickly. We guarantee our work, and those are spots we cannot guarantee.

Question 9

I got sunburned on vacation! Can I still get tattooed?

Accepted Answer

WE CANNOT TATTOO ON SUNBURNED SKIN. If you have a place on your body that is not sunburned, we can put your tattoo there instead.

Question 10

Can I use numbing cream?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not allow the use of numbing cream at Elite Ink due to it affecting the tattoo application and healing process.

Question 11

Can I go swimming after getting my tattoo?

Accepted Answer

NO! We recommend waiting minimum of two weeks before submerging your tattoo in any body of water, including bathtubs. Showering is fine, as it is not submerging.

Question 12

I want to get a piercing!

Accepted Answer

We do not offer any piercing services at Elite Ink. We recommend Elite Body Piercing for anything piercing related.
