How exactly do you use AI?

AI will be used at all stages of project development, some more than others. Specifically, it will assist in writing concepts and scripts, creating storyboards, drafting production plans, charts, budgets, and tables of all kinds.
Where possible, it will also contribute to visual effects creation. In short, we will use AI in both organizational and creative aspects.

Can I join the team even if I have no experience?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely yes! The only things that matter to us are commitment, participation, and the willingness to step out of your comfort zone. Whether you’re a freshman or a veteran, there’s a place for you in the team—if you’re open to collaboration and constant learning.
Whenever possible, we will also organize workshops to help interested members learn to use software or equipment with a hands-on approach.

What roles are available in the team?

Accepted Answer

There are no fixed roles. When a new project starts, interested members can choose to join and take on whatever role they prefer in that specific activity. This way, we make sure everyone can participate and contribute in the way that suits them best.

If you’d like to have a more continuous and steady involvement, we also suggest applying to take care of the team’s marketing or administration! Those areas are always in need of support—whether it’s creating content and managing our Instagram page to unleash your creative side, or handling the team’s structure to put your organizational skills to work!

How is D.A.R.T. different from the Studio Ireos team?

Our team approaches cinema in a less "traditional" way, incorporating innovative elements such as artificial intelligence at every step of production.
Additionally, we don’t have a fixed set of required roles. You can apply for the field you prefer, and we will find a place for you!

Question 5

What language is spoken in the team?

Accepted Answer

We usually send all communications in both Italian and English to ensure everyone understands.
During in-person meetings, unless exceptions are made, we will speak English. We are a multiethnic and multicultural team, and we want everyone to participate without language barriers.

Question 6

How does the credit system work?

Accepted Answer

If you are part of any student team, you can earn university credits (CFUs) for the work you do.
1 CFU equals 25 hours of work. Hours must be properly documented and will be approved by the team leader at the end of projects.
By reaching a sufficient number of CFUs, you can gain academic benefits, such as removing a free-credit exam (check the Politecnico di Torino regulations for precise details).

Question 7

How demanding is it to be part of the team?

Accepted Answer

Not too much! The only minimum requirement is attending the plenary meetings. If you miss one occasionally, it's not a problem, but try not to skip too many—each meeting is a valuable opportunity to bond with other team members and stay updated on activities.

Of course, once a project you've joined starts, you will need to follow through constantly: your contribution is fundamental for the success of our activities!

How can I contribute to the team's growth?

First, try to attend all (or most) meetings!
Then, be cooperative with your teammates and work with passion and enthusiasm.
