1. If you buy an IP rider after 1 April 2026: 
• No longer cover the minimum IP deductible amount (up to $3,500) of IP plans moving forward; and 
• The minimum co-payment cap per policy year will increase from S$3,000 to S$6,000*.

2. If you buy an IP rider between 27 November 2025 and 31 March 2026 (both 
dates inclusive) 
Your rider will be updated in accordance with MOH guidelines, no later than their first renewal from 1 April 2028.

3. If you buy an IP rider before 27 Nov 2025: 
You will continue to enjoy the current benefits under their existing AIA Max VitalHealth rider. Any changes affecting their coverage will be informed at least 31 days prior to the change taking effect.

4. Insurers will support policyholders who intend to switch to new riders in 2026 can do so without additional underwriting.

There has been no announcements on this yet. This will potentially affecting policyholders who bought their IP riders after 27 November 2025.

2. What will happen to my existing rider and benefits?
If you buy an IP rider before 27 Nov 2025: You will continue to enjoy the current benefits under their existing AIA Max VitalHealth rider. Any changes affecting their coverage will be informed at least 31 days prior to the change taking effect.

3. Are the new benefits better?
This will depend on your perspective. By removing deductible and increasing percentage of copayment, you will have to prepare a rainy day fund (which can also be paid by medisave up to their respective limits).
