Hi! My name is Alysha, and 8 years ago I began taking a deeper look at my health and the food I was consuming. That journey led me to sourdough, where I learned most store bought versions are not truly sourdough, often using shortcuts instead of proper fermentation. About 3½ years ago, I started making my own, and that is when Roxanne, my starter, was born. I quickly fell in love with the process, and the quality was hard to beat. After years of practice and sharing loaves, The Rustic Peel Bakehouse came to life. Everything is baked fresh to pre order for Saturday and long fermented for quality and flavour. From our signature multi chip cookie to sourdough granola and loaves, everything is made to be shared, though we fully support keeping your favourites to yourself!
