National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. NSS Aryabhatta aligns itself with the NSS motto "NOT ME BUT YOU". NSS Aryabhatta College aims to excel and become and example for others to follow in selfless service towards the underprivileged sections of the society. NSS Aryabhatta College selects its students through interviews and keeps detailed records of their participation in various activities throughout their two years. Based on their participation for 120 hours in the first years the student shall be promoted to second year of membership and is expected to complete 240 hours in the span of two years. The input of 240 hours makes a student eligible for a certificate by the university. NSS Aryabhatta is is also credited with inhouse literacy program as one of its pioneers programs called AKSHAR along with other initiatives.
