How can I become an Associate Member?

Accepted Answer

We are now accepting applications for Associate Members.  Members in good standing of other lodges that reside temporarily or full time in the Vero Beach area (a.k.a. Stray Elks) are eligible to apply for Associate membership. The card issued by the Secretary with this class of membership allows an Associate member to enter the Vero Beach Lodge without signing in the Guest Register and to use the social facilities. Contact our Lodge Secretary for more information.

How can I transfer my membership to Lodge 1774?

Complete the affiliation form obtained from the Bartender (or access it at http://veroelks.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/affiliation_application.pdf) using the “By Transfer Dimit from” section and send to the Lodge Secretary (fees apply) at:

1350 26th St.
Vero Beach, FL 32960-5057

Annual dues are prorated and your application is processed like a new application except that you will not be required to participate in the Initiation ritual. The Lodge Secretary will process your application and contact your home Lodge.

You will be notified when the process is complete.

What are the requirements for Life Membership?

The Lodge, by an affirmative secret ballot of two-thirds of those present at a regular Lodge
meeting, may elect a Member in good standing to Life Membership who has paid to a Lodge
or Lodges required annual dues for a period of not less than 30 years preceding application,
and who shall have attained the age of not less than 65 years. Any nomination for Life Membership must be in writing.

For the 2026-27 fiscal year the annual dues for Regular Members  are $135 and $83 for Life Members

How can I pay my dues?

Online payments with a credit card: Go to https://www.elks.org/payonline. Select our Lodge and simply click "Make a Quick Payment". A convenience fee of 3.5% will be applied to your payment.

In person: pay at the bar via cash, check or credit card.

When are the Lodge meetings?

Regular Lodge meetings are held on the third Tuesday every month except February, March and April when they will be held on the first and third Tuesdays.  Meetings begin at 7:00 pm.

There may be special meetings as necessary to conduct the Initiation ritual.

Elroy the Elk, the Elks national Drug Awareness Education Program's mascot, reminds young kids that hugs are better than drugs, while older kids see the affects of alcohol consumption by wearing fatal vision goggles.

The Elks Drug Awareness Education Program is the largest private program of its kind in the nation! It was launched to warn primary grade students and their parents of the dangers of drug abuse.
