**RCL2 Endorsements / CPD**

We’re shaking things up a little with the race coach scheme to make it easier for coaches to add their own flair to their awards! Instead of having separate courses for each type of race coach, we’ll use the base RCL2 course as the starting point for coaching. Then, we’ll offer add-on endorsements / CPD like team racing (see section below for first course date!), keelboating, foiling and winging as one-day courses. 
 
This change will help you fit around your busy weekends, cut costs, and allow us to use slightly higher ratios for some courses, making the days more representative.

**We have a new app!**  

If you haven't already downloaded the RYA Race Coaching App, go to your App store and search "RYA Race Coaching Resources" and give it a whirl!

This app is a powerful tool designed to support Race Coaches working across the British Sailing Pathway and within clubs, providing links to essential resources to help you plan and deliver your race coaching effectively. These links include the Race Coaching Knowledge Base (including exercises), links to suitable coaching YT video channels, online Risk Assessment form, Coaching/Instructing vacancies, and other useful information. It provides a central location for all the coaching resources you need when working with your sailors.

Do you have sailors who are ready to take their race coach qualification and start coaching?

Then consider hosting your own race coach course to develop your members or sailors. 

What does the club/class need to supply?

- Five single-handed appropriate boats 
- One safety boat and fuel
- A sheltered area / classroom to brief & review
- Two days to run the course 
- Access on and off the water throughout the course 

Your course can be available for only your own club/class members to attend. Your members can pay their own course fee or we can invoice the club/class directly.  Alternatively you can open your course to others outside your club, allowing sailors from other clubs to join and pay their own course fee. This is particularly useful if you have for example three sailors at your club wishing to attend and need to make up the numbers to make the course viable to run.
