The Public Interest Law Journal of New Zealand is an annual publication showcasing articles written by Aotearoa New Zealand law students on legal topics of public interest. The Journal’s articles are reviewed by an Academic Review Board, which consists of academics with expertise in substantive areas of public interest law. We are currently recruiting editors to form our Issue 13 editorial team. The editorial process will commence around May 2026 and end in late 2026. We wish you all the best during this application process and look forward to hearing from you. Applications close Friday, 10 April 2026 at 11:59 pm. Article Submissions – Issue 13
The Public Interest Law Journal of New Zealand is an annual publication showcasing articles written by Aotearoa New Zealand law students on legal topics of public interest. The Journal’s articles are reviewed by an Academic Review Board, which consists of academics with expertise in substantive areas of public interest law. We are looking for article submissions of 8,000–15,750 words to be considered for publication. For example, this may be an Honours dissertation or seminar paper, a law assignment or an original piece, written about a matter of public interest.
