Vanessa Getty is a San Francisco philanthropist, animal welfare advocate, and arts patron whose work spans nearly three decades of civic engagement. She is the founder of San Francisco Bay Humane Friends, a board member of the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA, a board member of the Orangutan Foundation International, and a former trustee of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. She also co-founded GettyLab, a private fund focused on direct investments in applied sciences. Named to Vanity Fair's International Best-Dressed List, Getty is widely recognized for her ability to mobilize San Francisco's cultural and social networks in service of causes that matter.
