The Music Pre-save Link app lets you promote upcoming releases on Spotify directly from your Linktree. Visitors can pre-save your track, and it’ll be automatically added to their Spotify library when it goes live. After the release date, the link will update to a regular music link.
📝 Note: Pre-save is currently only available for Spotify.
Steps to add a Music Pre-save link
Go to the Links tab in your Linktree Admin.
Click Add + to create your link.
Type “pre-save” in the search bar and tap Add next to Music Pre-save.
Give your link a Title.
Hit Set up to get started with setting up your link.
Choose the release date and time for when your track will go live on Spotify.
Click Next.
Enter your Spotify URI, track ISRC, or album UPC.
Please ask your distributor for this if you do not know where to get it. Read this Spotify help article to learn how to find your URI code.
Enter the details of your release:
Title – the name of your track or album
Artist – your artist name
Album cover (optional) – a visual to build hype
Description (optional) – a short blurb about the release
Hit Next when you’ve completed the fields.
In the next step, we'll remind you of the streaming services where your visitors can pre-save your music. Hit Next once you’re ready.
Write a custom thank you message (optional) that appears after someone pre-saves your song.
Hit Save when you’re ready to set your Music Pre-save Link live.
That’s it! Your fans can now pre-save your music.
What happens on release day?
When the date and time you set arrives, your pre-save link will automatically become a music link. It will show your live Spotify track, just like a regular music link on your Linktree.
