Steps to generate your post idea
In your Linktree Admin, head to Post Ideas under the Tools section.
Choose the type of post you'd like:
Trending – Timely, popular topics getting attention online.
Evergreen – Classic ideas that never go out of style.
Video Hooks – Attention-grabbing intros for video content.
Surprise Me – Let us suggest fun and unexpected topics.
Custom / "Got something in mind?" – Enter your own topic or idea for something tailored.
💡 Tip: This is a great option when you’ve got the beginnings of an idea, but need help developing it. Just tell us where you’re at, and let us do the work!
Select an interest area that fits your content.
Click Get ideas to generate options.
Pick the idea you like best.
💡 Tip: Not happy with the result? Click Try again to generate new ideas or captions.
Create a caption
Click Get captions to generate options based on your selected idea.
You can preview how your caption will appear on Instagram, TikTok, and X by switching between platforms in the captions view.
Choose a caption you like, then:
Click Copy to clipboard (
) to paste it anywhere, orClick Create post with this caption to build a post using the Social Planner.
💡 Tip: Use the thumbs-up or thumbs-down buttons next to each idea or caption to help improve future suggestions.
What happens next?
If you create a post, you’ll get the opportunity to schedule and post it directly to your connected social platforms for free with our integrated social planner.
