  4. Take your cursor to the left side of the screen, and click “Password and security” in the sidebar.
  5. Under “Login & recovery,” click “Change password.”
  6. You’ll get a drop-down menu where you must type your existing password in the “Current” form field.
  7. After entering your current password, type the new password in the “New” and “Retype new” fields. Make sure you type in a strong password.
  8. Click “Save Changes” to save your new Facebook password.

  8. Don’t close the window in your browser. Open a new tab and log in to your email. The code may take a few minutes to arrive, so don’t worry if you don’t immediately see it in your inbox.
  9. Once you receive the code, head back to Facebook.
  10. Enter the code and click “Continue.”
  11. Enter a new password. Then, choose “Continue” to confirm the password reset.

You can now log in to your Facebook account with your new password.
